I bought a hi-hat set in about 1992, new beats. They cost me $391 then. My wife, now ex, had a fit. Lost the wife still have the cymbals. The cybals never let me down. 😁

I've been playing drums for years and have basically known what cymbals are, yet I find this video very helpful especially for inspiring younger drummers and percussionists to explore more on cymbals and find their own musical voice

My cymbal choice is the A Custom line, consisting of 14” hi hats, 16” crash, 18” crash, and a 20” ride, but I also have a 9” K Custom Hybrid Splash and an 18” Platinum Coated Rock Crash, and I love every one of those 6 (8 counting the pair of hi hats) Zildjian cymbals. Best. Cymbals.

how about you explain why these things cost less than $10 worth of materiel and are made by machine, yet oftentimes cost $1000 or more. especially of note is that ONLY zildjian cymbals cost that much, even though everyone makes the same shit.
