Показать описание

In this blender 2.8 tutorial we go over the fundamentals of motion tracking inside blender. Specifically we go over image sequence conversion and the motion models (location, rotation, scale, affine, perspective) used for tracking. This is the first part of a 3 part tutorial series covering everything to do with motion tracking.

TIMESTAMPS:
00:00:00 - Introduction
00:01:18 - What is motion tracking?
00:01:55 -Image sequences (theory + conversion)
00:08:33 - Switching to movie clip editor
00:10:05 - Setting up
00:11:46 - Location tracking (and some basics)
00:16:43 - Tracking panel (track speed, frames limit, etc)
00:19:16 - Search area and pattern area (optimization)
00:22:20 - Default settings vs local settings
00:23:03 - Modifying the pattern area
00:24:33 - Graphs (how to interpret X and Y data)
00:26:10 - Link empty to track
00:27:33 - Basic 3d integration
00:28:37 - Location rotation motion model (+ comparing to location model)
00:33:10 - What a tracker really stores
00:33:58 - 2 point tracking (for rotation/scaling data)
00:39:20 - Normalize
00:42:16 - Location rotation scale motion model
00:46:17 - Previous frame vs keyframe (match mode)
00:48:47 - Correlation (with a small mistake :D)
00:53:03 - Affine motion model
01:00:19 - Perspective motion model
01:13:03 - RGB color channels
01:15:10 - Closing thoughts + sneak-peek

This was a true master class on Blender tracking, told with incredible clarity. I can't wait to apply what you've shown here.

Wow. Thank you for a free tutorial your effort will not be wasted, this channel will grow. Continue making good content.

6:41 I recommend you set it to RGB instead of RGBA. CGMatter probably already knows this but to anyone who don't: the a is the alpha channel. It is the color that computers use for transparency and if you do not have s transparent background (the video you recorded doesn't) then there is no need for the extra 25% file size it needs

Best full motion tracking course I have ever seen. I love how you increase the technical complexity step by step, where each step builds on the one before, with footage that's harder to track.

4 years later, and this is gold... to understand the very hard to understand thing named, motion tracking.

IT IS NOT OK! That this video is on here just for free!
I learned so much from this it's not even funny!

But honestly, there are lots and lots of shitty tutorials. This is one of the best one. You might just helped me to land a job.

Thank you for this content!

This is the one and only useful video on motiontracking in blender on the The other guys just skip steps!!!! big time! Thank you so much!

The fact that he didn't trim out the sock and deformation thing and accepted that loc.rot.scale can track it was amazing. You are good teacher

That's it! I'm becoming a supporter. This gold cannot go un-rewarded.

Best tutorial about tracking in Blender by very very far. I checked other tutorials where they pressed buttons not explaining what they were really doing. Not the beast way to learn anything. Thanks a lot!

It never ceases to amaze me how you young whipersnappers easily catch on and run with complicated technology! Great job! Thanks!

There are tons of blender modeling tutorials, not very many for cg, thanks for making these!

Amazing tutorial - I can't remember the last time my attention span was engaged for an 30 minute tutorial, got through all this easy! Well presented! Much love!

As a film guy now getting into 3D modeling, animation, and VFX vs just mainly working in After Effects this is a great tutorial. At 05:54 is a common misconception when it comes to video frame rates. The reason for the "weird" frame rate rate dates back to the analog days, pre silicon when engineers used the oscillation of the electrical cycle to create the timing. So when tv was black and white you had a frame rate of 30 or 25 based on the country you lived in because it was divisible by the electrical cycle. When they introduced color into the mix they had to change the frame rate to fix phasing issues that they had run into. So this is one of those things that's a remnant of history. The important part is that you keep in the same timebase as what your overall timeline is based in.

Your channel deserves more exposure! Thank you for putting in so much effort in creating great quality content! Sat through the whole video! This is required watching for anyone going into matchmoving and layout work!

The very best video series about tracking in Blender. Thank you very much sharing this in-depth knowledge with us. Finally I understand why to do things and not just clicking what I'm told to click. Take care! :)

i really like this format. reminds of older blender guru "how-to" videos which i found really relaxing for some reason. (and of course more in-depth).
