Calculate Subtotals in Excel

Have you ever shopped online and mindlessly put items into your shopping cart? Then you go to check out and look at the Subtotal. Then you laugh. Then you close the window. That kind of sticker shock may happen once a while in our shopping lives and it come from the magic of the mathematical concept of addition. This magic is also available in Excel! In addition, you can conjure up sophisticated numbers across different categories with the Subtotal feature in Excel.
