Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Cup of coffee and a Kara and Nate vlog, great start to the morning.

I like what Kara said "There's nothing wrong about touristy places, we are all about touristy places, it's just fun to switch it up sometimes". Unlike many travel vloggers who would go to places and complain like "There are so many tourists", yet he/she is ONE of them. Most of us go to touristy places because we don't know any better and likes to be in places that are accessible and known, there should be no judgement as long as we enjoy it! Glad Kara isn't a travel snob even though they have been to many places that are off the beaten path. That's why their vlogs are always so positive and pleasure to watch! <3

The shots of the hieroglyphs of the Esna Temple really show their quantity and quality in an instant! Not an easy feat to accomplish when its all been done by professors and academics and TV companies. Well done you guys.

You know, I'm right there with you guys on getting to see the local villages. I can't get ENOUGH of them when you do river cruises. You get to see the most authentic look at life for the average citizen of that country, you get to see the most sincere reactions of the locals, and they're usually SO happy to see you (especially the kids, and I wonder if they've ever even seen a camera before). I'm always so glad when you go to these places because these are truly the places that generally no one sees and, because of you two, _we_ get to. Thank you sooo much! ❤❤❤❤

That's why I love you guys. For you two - Travel isn't just about going to aesthetically pleasing places . Its actually about EXPLORING, ADVENTURE and DISCOVERING. <3 More power to you two.

I don’t understand how people dislike this video, jealously is the only reason that comes to mind, you guys are lovely and your videos are great.
November 27th is the day I set foot in that beautiful and mysterious country, and I can not wait !

I loved seeing Kara with the local kids 🥰 I could see her teaching English in a village like that if/when they slow down with their travels.

For everyone talking about the physical state of the cows: yes, they are emaciated. However, this is how many people make a living and some people in rural Egypt can barely afford enough food to feed their families let alone the cows. Hopefully Kara and Nate can address this in another video but do not be so quick to berate the farmers, many of us in western cultures are fortunate enough to be able to feed ourselves with income left over for fun activities while people across the globe in underdeveloped regions have to rely on very few resources to survive.

I'm smiling the entire time I watch the video! Love how Nate jumps right in to plow, and Kara's face lights up so much when she sees kids. Thanks for showing us all the sights and sounds off the beaten path!

This was hands down one of my favourite blogs. The music throughout the farm scene....absolute perfection.
