So did this new rule come into effect after the Lexi Thompson incident? Because there was no malevolent intent with her situation either?

Notice the spot where he holed out from is still nearer the hole! The no penalty decision was undoubtedly influnced in Jon Rahm's favor because he was going to emphatically win the golf tourmament and it was assumed that he would have holed this putt out 100 times out of 100. The no intent situation is not applicable. He marked the ball in a different spot, the same with Lexi Thompson. Period. Should have been given a 2 shot penalty. Referees were unduly influenced by his interpretation, his explanation which carried the most weight but they were also intimidated not to marr his brilliant play and upset his emotions seeing he was winning the tournament. Crazy, nuts.

Lexi Thompsons was blatant cheating she does it again in another video shown on YouTube. Not sure on Jon Rahm; but if they keep Dumbing down the rules, players will keep playing the rules to there advantage. Example Jordan Spieth at the Open...one of the crowd knocked it with there foot so I get a drop; so therefore improve my cabbage patch lie.

Lexi Thompson was unfairly penalised if its deemed fair that Jon Rahm wasnt. Yes he was likely going to win it, but it cant be one rule for one and another for everybody else.
