This review was really helpful, I appreciate that you actually showed us how you use it rather than just talking and talking as in most of the review videos.

I’m wanting to get this for motion graphics and blender. As well as practice my art drawing. The portability and versatility is what’s selling to me.

The dial looks so neat it’s just kind of expensive. I forgot they even made that.

Would you recommend this for someone who wants to learn digital art?

Also, is the Surface Dial a useful accessory foe artists

The Surface Studio always seems nice, but I kind of see what you mean. It's less portable than the Pro, but I feel like the Pro would be better for everyday use because of the prices.

I’ve been looking at this product and have been contemplating on it cause i want a tablet to draw in photoshop and a laptop to work in illustrator. How is it weight wise, does it feel heavy say when you are on the couch and just want to draw?

Nice review! I'm wondering how you like the Dial and the Slim Pen? I'm coming from Wacom Cintiqs (I'm a snob for pen line quality and comfort-- can't stand the iPad Pro but maybe I got a faulty unit, the tilt latency drives me nuts) and XP Pen Pro and Wacom Mobile Studio Pro (express keys galore!!! And twisty Do you find the Slim pen to be comfortable and well-receptive? You were getting a nice variation in line width in your video. And for the Dial, I think I read it's got multiple functions; I'm hoping for something to easily flip animation frames and brush sizes, while also easily providing at least 4 hotkeys. I'm thinking I may just pair an old Wacom Remote as in theory, it should do the job (but I really really love the wheel on the XP Pen). Not expecting you to have played with all these devices, but appreciate any thoughts you may have, if you do have experience with them! Thanks!

Do you draw in tent mode? if so, how is the screen stability with applying pressure with the hand while drawing? is there very noticeable Screen flex?

Can I use the old Surface Book 2 pen with this? Or does it have to be a slim one?

I have the SLS1. Agreed it is best if you need Windows apps and a pen display that is portable. To make it "perfect" it would need to be lighter. It really is a laptop first before a tablet. Too heavy and hot for drawing in your hands or in your lap.

This is basically an upgrade to a device that fills a specific niche.

I mainly bought it because...

1. I engage in graphics arts that's very drawing heavy.

2. It's more powerful and can run more programs than any tablet.

3. It's relatively portable.

4. Seems to be receptive to the influx of AI that's honestly going to bombard the arts.

5. It's likely the last SLS they're going to do, so I'll probably be using this for years to come. I broke down and bought the 4070 version because I don’t plan on buying anything else, after this one.

I love this yet the background music is very load, keep it very low, or better yet remove it as a whole, we play music in the background anyway.
