.... why not start by rolling back all the rollbacks Trump made to environmental policies?

Enslee could join the new Dem government as Environment Secretary. Many of the candidates have adopted his policies.

Amen knowtech...You are half right..we are already way behind on helping the climate, and it's most urgent...the wall will be needed later when it really gets hot down there and we really do have an invasion...we'll be knocking on Canada's door by then.

Presidents need to rely on Executive Orders when the legislative process will take too long or when we have not given our President a Senate willing to cooperate with him (or her). We know where we want America to go with her future, but in order to do that, we must give our new President a Senate that can lock these initiatives down into law. We've seen, first-hand, McConnell successfully blocking Obama's attempts to replace a supreme court justice as was his right and duty. We also have seen McConnell's blocking bipartisan legislation approved by the House for over a decade, just because he can. This level of obstruction is an abuse of power. The only way to clear it is to have an overwhelming Democratic vote that delivers both the Presidency and the majority of the Senate to the Democratic Party. Under ordinary circumstances, we would look to our new President to deliver on his (or her) campaign promises. However, the reality is that we have had a toddler taking a wrecking ball to our government. Our first task must be to put things back together again. First things first. Hire ourselves a strong leader.

Explain to me how the glaciers that covered Canada and parts of the US melted centuries ago before autos and industry? Just stop with the BS.

6500 years ago when it was much hotter the halcyon, interglacial world of 4500 BC! In Scandinavia the tree line was above 8000 feet and deciduous trees grew all the way to the Arctic circle. The Sahara was a rain-watered, grassy savannah crossed by mighty rivers, and Hippos swam in the Thames. We remember that age dimly as a Garden in Eden.
That is just one of many warmer periods in Earth history where life thrived.
During the cold periods extinctions are more common.
