The Iron Golem is a man-made powerhouse that guards the villages of Minecraft. Build one yourself, or take shelter in a village, as these Iron Giants will keep you all safe. This video takes an in-depth look into this mob.

Iron Golems will attack players that hurt them or their Villagers if they were spawned in naturally (by Villagers). Iron Golems that you build yourself will not hurt you and don't particularly care if you attack a villager. Both kinds will attack hostile mobs like Zombies, except Creepers, on sight.

I really wish that some mobs like iron golems, villagers and wolfs know when a hit is by acident or by own intention. Is kinda hard collecting the farm items in villages and sometimes a iron golem jumps in front of what you are collecting and you acidentally hits them and boom, there's go a life or half life.

I always thought that if we help to defend the villagers iron golems would see us as allies or partners

As any minecraft player would, I insterted myseld as tyrant ruler of a village and immedietly began breeding villagers. I had so many villagers that my world would lag too much. I decided to burn one of the giant wood building that housed over one hundred villagers. During this, I decided that I wanted to save some wood and began trying to put out the flames. I hit a villager. Due to the large quantity of villagers, there was also a large quantity of golems. I killed maybe 30, but they keep spawning and killing me. I wanted to de-aggravate them, so I came to youtube and came to this video. I learned about reputation, and how it affects the golems attitude towards me. I learned not to make the same mistake again, and therefore I will construct a compound where villagers are stuck and cannot talk with one another. If they are useless, I can kill them without worry.

Instead of using any shield, there is a method where speedrunners can always do:

1. Harm a villager or the iron golem
2. Run until you get a bit far from it
3. Build a 1 by 4 block
4. Do critical hits. This might take long, but sometimes, it can hit the iron golem.

There is a small story about me with the iron golem: I was testing something with him, I used commands, I hit him then say "Yeah You're the strongest mob!" Then...He...hit me...Then I said "WHAT????!!!! STOP!!! I SUMMONED YOU!!! ME!!! I CAN HIT YOU WHENEVER I WANT!!!", then I become sadly ever after...Only in that world don't worry...

i only take 1 heart of damge because i have full netherite amour prot 4 and a smite 5 sowrd with resatine 2
