Just got one. Did a first time burn for 20 mins to get manufacturers oil off. It stunk but after 15 mins oils was burned off. Windy as heck and hit 620 degrees fast. Gonna have to throw down on it this spring.

This grill caught fire after 3 uses! We had just cleaned it and had only grilled chicken. This is the worst gas grill we have ever had. And now they say that warranty doesn't cover fire! We paid over $300 and now have no grill because the warranty is useless.

Char broil grills are good grills but one of the things they did that irritated me was not all parts were stainless. I bought a four burner performance grill of theirs back in 2019. I still own it and it still works fine but the side and front panels as well as the casters have all rusted considerably because they were not made out of stainless steel. Why not make the whole thing out of stainless? It doesn’t make sense to make 80% of the grill out of stainless and the rest out of carbon steel that you know is going to rust. I like my grill and it does just fine, but that’s one of the things I can’t understand. I would have rather paid a few extra dollars to have it ALL stainless! I plan on keeping mine a long time, but if it eventually rusts to the point of where I have to buy another one I might not be so quick to pull my wallet out and get another char broil grill.

Had my first 1 for 14 yrs. Had to throw it out because rats got in n pooped in it.
