Great breakdown and comparison of two different grills. You can tell which has more thought put into them. Thanks for sharing with us!

The Expert Grill is a clear winner both functionally and value wise.

I've heard some pretty good things about that Expert Grill. This was a nicely done comparison! I'm not a fan of SS top grills. But between these two. I gotta go, Expert!!

Got the 4-Burner Expert Grill for $197 add tax was $212 (the price has gone up since your video) here on Father's Day 2024 and Free Same Day Delivery from Wal-Fart.
Like the Part Listing, hated the Assembly Diagrams as they lacked written instructions, images alone do not justify where things go. I figured maybe 1 hour to put together but it took 3 1/2 hours. Had 2 (A) screws and 4 (B) screws left over. The Expert Grill box weighed between 60 to 70 pounds, probably 60 lbs but a very large box is hard to handle and carry but I managed,
The upper grill plate was warped and the Teflon like coating as some chipped off, it does not lay flat. No weight gauge to know when your propane gas tank is close to being empty. Good idea about using aluminum foil / Reynolds wrap on the drip tray. The larger drip pan collector is nice. Had a 3-burner Expert Grill that maybe was $119 or $129 (no side burner same as the 4-burner) which lasted just over 2 years since the burner flavor covers and their supports rusted and crumpled apart. Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon, and couple of other places wanted better than $300 up to $2, 400 for a propane gas grill. A lot of Webers out there. I hope to get at least 4 years out of this one. Living in an apartment complex and no storage and not permitted to have a propane tank inside the building so it is chained to the metal fence all year round, covers either blow off or get stolen so I use none. The Average annual winter snowfall is about 126 inches.

I´m in Northern Europe where we also have both the Char-Broil and the Expert, although here the Expert is rebadged as the "Grillexpert" (one word) we have had a three burner Grillexpert now going on 4 years, and it is still rock solid with no rust and it has been kept in a storage shed uncovered where it can be damp during the winter, there is no sign of rust at all ... on the other hand we read allot of reviews of the other contender mentioned here as being very flimsily built with rust problems after a short duration, I can not confirm this though to be fair, as we have not owned one, but we´re now looking for a 4 burner for a summer house, and it will definitely be an Expert again for sure.. they´re a fantastic grill for the price point.

I have owned this 4-burner Expert Grill for about 4 years now, and I could not be happier. It is VERY sturdy and well-built, and it always does a great job cooking steak, burgers, chicken, fish, shish-kebab, and more!!

For the northerners, When I worked Lowe's a couple of years ago, customers who grill in winter complained that Charbroils lost too much heat and used far too much propane. The more burners, the worse the grill was in winter. Charbroil burners rusted out pretty fast, too. Charbroil igniters were unreliable and some were bad right out of the box. We'd take ignitors off display models to put on assembled grills for sale, then order replacement ignitors from Charbroil.

Thanks for the straight forward review. I need another grill and now I'll be heading to Walmart tomorrow instead of Lowe's. Thanks for the info.

My Brinkman grill has seen better days and I need a replacement. I just saw the Expert grill when I was at Walmart today. I've been looking at reviews and this comparison just sealed the deal. I have a Blackstone that gets most of the action now so I just want a basic grill and it looks like this will do.

That’s great info. I believe, (I may be mistaken) that expert grill is made by Nexgrill, a company that used to make only private label grills (store brands) but now also sell stuff under the Nexgrill brand.
Who ever makes it, it sounds like they are out pacing Char-Broil at this price point, according to what you said.
Thanks for this, great video.

Hah…just bought one yesterday. 5 burner. For $197 I figured who cares. Pick it up tomorrow. Let’s see how it goes. Replacing a 6 y/o Charbroil 4 burner. Bottom all rusted/burnt out.
