I 100% agree with this tactic. If indoors, a door threshold can also be useful. It may cause your attackers to become bottlenecked not only permitting only one attacker to engage, but also, it effectively limits their movements.

See ive never found the "run away" tactic feasible. Only thing worse than fighting two dudes is fighting two dudes after a dead sprint but they caught you anyways.

I appreciate that he took the moment to acknowledge that the guy who he's controlling may actually be striking him. It shows a acknowledgment of the realism that is always a little bit missing in drilling and examples of this sort.

That said, I think the logic is sound. I'd rather get hit weekly by the guy who's posture I'm breaking down then get hit powerfully by the guy who's fully unencumbered.

If they have any skills at all the best way to stop an elusive person is to take out the legs. If I would've been the guy you were using as a shield, even tho you probably would still kick my ass, I would try to sweep you or tie you up so the other guy could do at least something to aid me with the struggle. Just a little insight.

in krav maga we used to play a "game" 4 vs one. the one had to evade and put the others in a line to escape or fight one and escape. or : you have to fight one, one is pulling you back, two are pushing fro the sides... NONE of us made a clear puch and we learned that if only ONE gets his hands on you its OVER!

This doesn’t work for someone who has chronic asthma, gets out of breath very quickly, isn’t physically fit and can’t run, along with a heart condition, a musculoskeletal illness and diminished, blurred vision due to cataracts. A concealed handgun in this scenario, skillfully deployed for the purposes of scattering or disabling multiple aggressors, is probably the most effective tool one can carry to ensure a safe escape from this type of unprovoked assault. The even greater tragedy is the fact that the victim in this case, will then be kidnapped and caged for defending himself if the armed psychopaths enforcing dangerous & immoral political policies (man-made “laws”) decide they do not permit the defensive action taken by the victim. They will further commit crimes against the victim and victimize them again through the acts of legislated criminalization. Humans can be so cruel to one another.
