Tip: UPGRADE YOUR PIPES. I cannot stress how much of an increase the pipe upgrades are and it really helps get all of the oil out of the ground. Also you get a bonus if you extract and sell all oil :)

I think we need to put this in drainage terms for Matt. Imagine a Ridgistorm-XL 2700mm pipe that is being fed from your roadside drain via a coffee straw. Upgrading to a 3000mm pipe does nothing to drain the water faster. Matt, you used to design drainage systems professionally. You can do this.

When you branch from a node in oil to another oil reserve it wont pump from the next spot until the previous is completely empty. Always have a node between the reserves so you can make branches and then it will pump from all at once.

Matt! First of all, when you gamble, you can choose the dice - the ones you wanna keep for yourself. You don't need to reroll all of them every time! And second, yeah, upgrade the pipes and put more storage, refinaries and horses early on!

Hey Matt, opening your water for like 1 millisecond doesn’t do shit for upgrade prices, it must be open until the drilling (or upgrade) finishes

A great tip is branching out from the top from the oildigger
That way you get a way greater output, and makes it easier to collect all oil

You can also change the number of horses with the scroll wheel on your mouse, you don't even have to go down on one side first, going up on the other will override it.

The first upgrade of pipe can support 3 branches, and using a regular upgraded storage silo to store that throughput above ground in the early game lets you use those pipes for water once the oil is gone. There is a bonus for getting it all out of the ground, and you can always make it into petrol later, funded by early game crude sales.

You can see the oil moving through the pipes and the gray portion shows unused capacity. Engineer that inefficiency away! Optimize those networks. I think the 2nd pipe upgrade supports 6 regular pipes or 2 upgraded ones, but it might be 9 and 3. Been a while since I played.

Also, you can branch right from the rig. Stop with that architect thinking of having to mimic a tree trunk.

If you mouse over left or right and scroll the mouse wheel you can increase or decrease the number of wagons assigned to that one without needing to click. If you have some assigned to one, then mouse over and increase the number on the other when you run out of unassigned wagons it will pull from the other one to the one you want.

Edit:I you have air in your pipes it means the pipes feeding it aren't big enough to fill them to capacity. Usually, I'll have two to three lvl 2 pipes feeding a level 3.

Each oil rig can dig multiple pipes, you can double or triple up. Also upgrade the pipes to pump even more oil through!

RCE try land auction first then the enemy's buy they're upgrades and then it's much easier to buy stocks.

Use branches from the top into each oil pocket. Drain oil in "parallel" instead of "series". Sell oil early even if price is low to get bonus for clearing all oil.

There is loans you can take so you don’t waste time Matt also keep an eye on your pipes. If they aren’t solid black then the pipe isn’t balanced if you have a pipe that’s completely empty, but still connected to a node than that pipe isn’t doing anything. This is why you keep leaving oil so the best thing to do is to upgrade every pipe back toward the rig until all your pipes are full black also to keep from spelling by a silo and don’t upgrade it to a refinery just upgrade the silo part you’ll be able to store the oil and keep from spilling
