Some wouldn’t understand that 80k-100k isn’t worth it this guy been in the job for years so he’s the best guy to ask is it really worth it. He looks tired and I bet his back hurt.

Working the rigs is one of the hardest jobs there is, respect to these guys. They earn their money

I respect blue collar workers because I could never work on site and on call 24/7 to do some back breaking work. $80K-$100K per year is actually a good wage for blue collar work but it’s at the expense of your body and lifespan. As a person who used to do HVAC and pipefitting, most of the new guys getting involved in blue collar work or skilled trades either do it because they have a bad record and are looking to make a decent living (IYKYK), don’t have enough money for college, or comes from a family of tradespeople and feels obligated to follow in the same footsteps. There’s very little people that I’ve met that were genuinely interested in the job that they were other than joining it for the money.

He’s not lying but that entry level position I was doing that for 3 years I made 90 100 and 135. Never home tho. Now I work at a local factory and make 80 but I’m home every night. That’s a hard work respect to that guy. That’s young men game.

got to be careful went people say they wouldn't recommend a job they been doing all their life. it a gatekeeping tactic.

Millwright in an industrial factory. I get as many hours as I want but normally work under 50 a week. Can be very physically demanding. Do I recommend it? Can’t say for sure looking at the current applicants. The key word is can’t. I can’t do this, I can’t do that, I can’t work that hour or I can’t work that day. Pay comes in at 140K typically with benefits and retirement. The longer it takes to fill open positions, the higher my pay goes. Lack of skills and motivation makes me and my team very valuable

Respect to that man. Even though he’s making way more than the majority of us. It’s grueling work. I genuinely want to work on an oil right. It’s my dream, that and fixing lights on huge plane/heli towers.

I want people to understand why he says it's not enough pay. He works 12 hour shifts for minimum 5 days a week. Sometimes being on site away from home, that means mom/ wife is most likely stay at home to care for the family. Working all those hours in a week straight definitely wears you down.

It’s worth it if you come from a $20 hr salary to those big checks. I would love it. In a lot of the occasions the also pay you per deem if you have to fly to another city or state it’s not close to home the further you travel the more they pay oh. & tax free. It’s worth to a lot of us but. It’s a hard job to get. Only ones that get the job is like he said. Gotta be family or real close friends Very rare some outsider gets it.

People don’t understand how working long doing physical work how much toll it takes on your body.. not to mention getting up the next morning still being sore from the day before.. that pay definitely isn’t worth it you’ll be so tired u wouldn’t even be able to spend it and I knew because I’ve done it for years
