I do this but with a really tall one because my cat doesn’t squat when she pees for some reason 😪

That’s a great idea! The one thing you should’ve done instead though is sanding the edge because you don’t want your cats getting scratched. But this is mostly for uneven cuts and loose plastic strands

You are my cat idea spirit link! I had my husband do this but he also built an insulated box in the garage and we cut a hole through our primary bathroom wall into said box. Helps keep me happy knowing there isn’t a litter box in the house and it’s easier to clean and take right to the big dumpster.

I have something similar but it is a litter box within a larger plastic tub, this allows a place to put indoor/outdoor carpet to spread the claws and drop the litter.

Funny thing is I had done this a month ago for mine. Though the hole is more towards the top in order to help shake off the sticklers. He enjoys the bigger space and there’s less cat litter outside the of it

I use the automatic litter box ( pura x ) and my cats really enjoy it!

I would use a sottering pen instead it will give smoother edges on the cut you make with it

Please suggest tips for emptying this! These are huge and its so hard to empty them when switxhing out litter

Here I thought I was the only person who did this!! 🤣🤣🤣 But I've never cut a hole in it, when my babies were small I just used a box or even a paint can will work, pushed it up to the side and they would jump onto the can and into the litter box. Since there was several inches of litter in the box, they had just the right height to jump back out.
Best part about using these boxes is you can change them often. 👍
