Why doesn't the school let her invite her friends into the office?

Aw that's cruel. They should at least give her something to do while everyone else is playing

Why haven't her parents moved to somewhere warmer?

So move to a warmer climate to keep her safer. No place will be perfect but somewhere hot will help

That's mean that they make her stay all alone in the principal's office during break time. I had a condition when I was at school that was aggravated by cold weather so my school gave me a 'pass' thingy where me and a couple of friends could spend break time in the back room of a classroom.

To all the people saying move to somewhere warmer, did you not watch until the end where it said that it's not completely the temperature that affects them but the humidity. She would have to move somewhere hotter with less humidity, which would be very difficult to find

I also have this allergy. When I was a kid it used to be the opposite where I had an allergy to the heat. Now that I'm 27 I'm allergic to the cold. It started around when I was 21. I can't swim and walking my dog is terrible. Any part of my skin that gets cold swells with hives. NO ONE BELIEVES ME UNTIL THEY SEE IT!! I also can't breathe in cold air without feeling like my lungs are itchy. I feel you kiddo!

I am also allergic to the cold (Cold Urticaria)... At first my friends also didn't believe me. They support me now and keep me company inside the lunch room when it's cold outside. Mine is not as bad... I would get hives if I were outside in the cold though. I can still eat cold foods and I also can only be outside in the snow for 5 minutes.

Oh sweetie, my husband has cold induced urticaria as well. It's a good thing we live in Florida. His test was simple, they did the ice cube thing and he broke out in hives and his tongue swelled!

I have the same allergic reaction, and I’ve had it for 7 years. You can ingest cold food, or at least I can which she appertaining can’t, but I can’t be exposed to cold temperatures for a long period of time. It sucks but hopefully I’ll grow out of it.

I hate having this :( especially in gym it's so embarrassing to have to tell the teacher and other students that you have to go inside and can't participate. Most people don't believe me only my close friends, doctor, parents and sometimes teachers. Some people even make fun of me for it cause they either think I'm telling a joke, lying or think the red dots or hives are funny. I hate the winter I could never go outside and play in the snow and go sledding. I can't be outside for more than 15 minutes if it's under 60 or I get a huge rash. I can't go swimming at least the water is 85. And at the beach I can't go in the water so I just bring an inflatable pool :(

If people are thinking that they have this issue, look up Raynaud's disease (syndrome).
I personally have this syndrome and it's another form of being allergic to the cold. different effects to this case.

Raynaud's disease signs and symptoms include:
-Cold fingers or toes
-Color changes in your skin in response to cold or stress
-Numb, prickly feeling or stinging pain upon warming or stress relief

Hopefully someone recognizes the signs listed here.

I have this, but the older I’ve gotten the less severe the reaction. Wen I was little even a chilly pool would have me in welts and hives. I remember going out in the snow and getting wet, and cold and being covered head to toe in big itchy hives after that my mom wouldn’t let me play in the snow no more . I hope she grows out of it like I did.

This is actually really sad. Imagine how much she has missed out on her whole lives. Many prayers from Minnesota!
