When it comes to regional jetliners, two names often come up in the conversation: Bombardier and Embraer. These are two major manufacturers who have been competing in the aviation industry for many years.

Bombardier, a Canadian company, and Embraer, a Brazilian company, both have a strong presence in the regional jet market. Regional jetliners are smaller aircraft that are used for shorter flights, typically carrying around 70 to 100 passengers.

Bombardier entered the regional jet market in the 1990s with their CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) series. These jets quickly gained popularity due to their fuel efficiency and overall performance. The CRJ series has since evolved, with the latest model being the CRJ900. This aircraft boasts a spacious cabin, comfortable seating, and advanced avionics systems.

Embraer, on the other hand, introduced their regional jet, the ERJ (Embraer Regional Jet), series around the same time. The ERJ series also gained traction for its efficiency and reliability. It has undergone several upgrades over the years, with the latest model being the E2 series. The E2 series boasts state-of-the-art technology, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.

Both Bombardier and Embraer have their loyal customer bases, and their aircraft are used by airlines all around the world. Each company has its unique selling points and features that set them apart from one another.

Ultimately, the choice between Bombardier and Embraer comes down to the specific needs of the airline. Factors such as passenger capacity, range, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs all play a role in the decision-making process.

In conclusion, both Bombardier and Embraer are reputable manufacturers of regional jetliners. They offer reliable and efficient aircraft that cater to the needs of the aviation industry. Whether it's the Bombardier CRJ or the Embraer E2 series, these jets continue to play a crucial role in regional air travel.

Airlines pay less to regional flight attendants and pilots. E195 e2 is the future but there needs to be protection for crews. There's what should happen and what does.

Bombardier would have gone bankrupt if it had not been taken over by Airbus. Which in turn would have also gone bankrupt if it had not been for the EU. So compare Embraer to Bombardier is not very just. Embraer not only stands on its own two feet, operates in a difficult industry but has come out tops in the regional and small jet sectors as sole leaders. Now with the military cargo planes shows it will be leading this sector too in the very near future. And even for light fighter turbo trainers it is out on tops. The future as I see it is a good one for Embraer whereas Airbus will need more and more government assistance to keep in the market against Boeing. Or the Chinese who are now going up against both of them in their same sector. I am proudly Brazilian where I say aviation started with us via Santos Dumont and we are bound to lead the way in the sectors we wngage in. Then lastly as a pilot you cannot comprare flying a Bombardier jet to an Embraer jet. Two worlds apart. Ask any pilot out there who has flown both types.

I've ridden in both Embraer and Bombardier planes, and hate all of them. To me, anything smaller than the B737 or the A319 is an uncomfortable toy.
