If you want a great pour over recipe for the Kalita wave that is easy to follow, hear me out.

I found this coffee recipe for pour over with Kalita wave at Kuraso. Excellent flavour extraction, less cloudy, focused on the sweetness.

You need the following:

14g of beans
Grind size medium
200g of water
50-100g of water for pre-wetting the filter
Water temperature is 92 degrees
Total brew time 02:05-02:15

And here's the instruction:

1. Rinse your filter and add the coffee
2. Add 30g of water for blooming
3. At 00:40 add another 30g of water quickly
4. At 01:10 slowly add 140g of water in one flow. Finish before 02:05. Get rid of the leftover water in the filter.
5. You are done. Let the coffee

This recipe produces a great coffee. I tried out the Kalita wave for the first time and fell in love with this recipe (even tho, it's hard to film and focus on the coffee).

What I reccomend is to take care of the water at the bottom of the kalita after the pre-wetting phase. The water tastes often too strongly after the filter.

Here's how you can solve this:

1. Add first 50g of water for rinsing the filter.
2. Wait 15 seconds
3. Add another 50g of water.

The collected water should rinse out so that you are left with some normal leftover water.

Hi, can you confirm if we can use the wave filter in a normal V-60?
