The Quran describes Allah as the best deceiver there is, a liar who is not above using the same evil and wicked schemes of his opponents.

For example, the Quran calls Allah a makr, in fact the best makr there is: But they (the Jews) were deceptive, and Allah was deceptive, for Allah is the best of deceivers (Wamakaroo wamakara Allahu waAllahu khayru al- makireena)! S. 3:54; cf. 8:30

In any case, Edward William Lane's Arabic-English Lexicon (the most revered and scholarly dictionary of the Arabic language), Hans Wehr Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic, and the Arabic Lexicon all disagree with the Quranic Arabic Corpus website's rendering of the word. And every single one of these sources are more reliable than that website. In addition to these reliable sources, there are Dr. Jamal Badawi and Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al- Munajjid who are both native Arabic speakers and respected individuals (in relation to issues concerning Islam). Although they may make excuses for the use of that particular word, they do both actually admit that makr means deceiver.

Quran has been preserved orally first than in written format. It is recited in full every ramadan every year since the time of the prophet. So, had it been changed abruptly by Uthman(RA), it would be a major issue. The burning of copies was to standardise as many companions had their own personal copies where they wrote little side notes for their own understanding. It was to prevent addition of verses unknowingly and to prevent any form of corruption.

Secondly, the civil wars are much more complicated and complex. It was not because of quranic copies being burnt. The rebels themselves never gave this as their reason. They accused him of nepotism and its likes for their cause.

Kindly do your research before you include anothers religion in your speech.
