I got to hear Shauna Lawless talk about this series at worldcon last year and it got me so hyped to read these books. So ready to read them all and join you on the hype train for “Gen 2” of Gael song!!

Huck! there's a third novella coming out before the second generation of the series begins! I think the novella is going to be a sort of "bridge" between the two eras of the series. But I won't know more until the novella comes out. I want to read everything Shauna Lawless writes!

This is so good to hear!! I read the Children of Gods and Fighting Men last year and felt very similarly to you about it and have been wanting to carry on but feeling a bit nervous as I didnt love the first book. Now, however I wont worry. I will wait until the third book comes out in paperback ( May) and then I will binge the rest of the series. Sadly, I think the novellas are only available digitally and I only read physically 😔
So will gave to give them a miss.

I have actually been putting off reading the last book because I feel nervous about how it will end 😅 Dreams of sorrow was my favourite if the novellas too.
