Tissue Paper Watercolouring & Techniques

Tissue Paper Watercolouring & Techniques
Tissue paper can be used with most colour mediums that can be diluted by water. It creates beautiful watercoloured backgrounds WITHOUT having to use watercolour paper. A fun and inexpensive alternative to using watercolour paper or mixed media paper.
Glue to white card stock or acetate for sturdiness. May also be die-cut for embellishments for cards.
Colours can be intensified on tissue paper by adding one, two, etc. layers of colour medium, making sure to dry between each addition (layer) of colour
Supplies used in video:
1st segment:
- White tissue paper
- Paper towel for drying – takes about 15-20 minutes
(or use heat tool to speed up drying)
- Water mister
- Palette knife (optional)
- Colouring medium: any that can be diluted with water (dye inks, distress inks, distress oxide inks, dye inks, acrylic paint, watercolour paint, watercolour sprays, distress stains, brushos, bisters, distress paints, etc.)
2nd segment:
- Dry, watercoloured tissue paper
- White card stock
- Inexpensive glue
- Sponge
- Anti-static pad
- Embossing powder
- Heat tool
3rd segment:
- Dry, watercoloured tissue paper
- Good quality glue
- Sponge
- Stamp
- Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
