I'm always amazed at the things they get to do around this board.

I think it's a shame that there isn't a neater way to plug that SSD into the pie. I wish they had a motherboard incorporated into the little case.

Let's be honest here, to have a nice and clean look to your micro tower with a Raspi you either have a non-transparent case that's going to hook up extensions to most of the ports and route them to its own rear-IO panel, or you make a case that is made for a Raspi Compute Module and you do all ports from scratch.

The multi-sided I/O always looks like a band-aid solution and once you plug something into every side it ruins the entire look.

So far no single case has FULLY convinced me.

This is a shut up and take my money case. Love it.

I would have loved to see this with the space and mounting points for 2 SSD's. This would make a very handsome little file server. Gotta love a little bling in your rack.

Looks nice, but for the price the Argon One M. 2 case seems like a better value.

they should have drilled some holes in the side of the clear plastic case. there is a ton of airflow being left out on the table. those tiny 40mm noctua fans would be able to mount onto the would-be side vents to provide really good thermals.

I really dig it.
I just wish two things:
1/ That it had a cutout for easy microSD access, and
2/ That it had a channel to be able to tuck the SSD's USB cable mostly out of sight.

I like how this is one of the few cases that leaves room for tall raspberry pi hats to be used

it has plenty of room to fit in SSD drive, but why leave the connector outside which makes the whole setup a bit ugly.

It's a good idea to pay attention to the SATA/USB adapter. If you get the "wrong" one, you'll often run into write-errors and an extremely unreliable system.
Raspberry Pi foundation has a list of 'approved' ones I think.

It would have made more sense to have the SSD be mounted to the black front panel. The case looks so nice and clean, but that SATA cable is a no-go for me.

seems a bit daft imho having the ssd at the top, considering how heat rises, i would have had it mounted to the backplate vertically or something to not block cool airflow. the way the ssd is hooked up also looks ugly as heck, id rather stick to a Michael Klements case, which looks a lot tidier and a lot of others seem to imitate.

ETA Prime; Excellent Vid! This case looks sweet. Another Contender for my ArgonOne M.2

I am waiting for the RPi5 before I buy my first one as I'm hoping that this 'Chip Shortage' will be gone in 12-18 months. I like the ideas of two clear sides as then I can go to a local shop and get a custom sides made to duct both the input & output of the fan. My Workstation PC's case is a horizontal version and I can see myself literally mounting a case like this to the left or right sides of it so I can duct the outside of both cases & run the cables from the RPi right in to the PC motherboard. I don't own any sort of 3D printer so I would be buying a prebuilt case for the RPi anyway.

This just makes me hope that the Pi5 has an M.2 port.
