The Story of Padre Pio

Bobby Angel talks about the story of St. Padre Pio, a powerhouse saint who went all in for Christ.

St. Padre Pio experienced temptation and evil at a very young age, having visions of angels, demons, and even Satan at the age of 4 or 5. He wanted to give his life to Christ and become a priest, and entered the monastery at age 15.

It was in 1918 that Padre Pio received the stigmata: a physical ailment that causes one to develop the 5 wounds of Christ crucified (two on the hands, two on the feet, and one on the side). He developed the side wound first, but tried to hide it in order to not call attention to himself. However, some of the other priests in the monastery noticed that he was bleeding, and it was confirmed that he had the stigmata—a condition of which only about 300 cases are known.

The press and controversy over his stigmata caused him to have to stop preaching and celebrating Mass, because the monastery didn’t want people fearing his wounds. This deeply troubled Padre Pio, and added to his pain. However, as rumors started to spread, people began to flock to the monastery to see Padre Pio for healing, confession, and preaching.

Padre Pio influenced many faithful Catholics, and his holiness was contagious to all he met. He was involved with a countless number of miracles, including the reading of souls, incredible healings, and accounts of bilocation.

Padre Pio shows us that if we turn our full attention to God, truly go all in for Christ, and accept our crosses with open arms, our love of Christ will become manifested in our lives in a way that can transform everyone we meet—and even those we don’t.

I introduced my mom to Padre Pio 3 years ago when they brought his relics to Saint Patrick's in NYC. She didn't know much about him and I saw a post on facebook saying his relics were coming to the church that month. She wanted to go because she was battling cancer. We went, and she was so glad she did. My mom passed away this past June but I attribute her lasting so long because of Padre Pio watching over her. Naturally, my mom enrolled herself in the Padre Pio foundation and was always recieving stuff from them in the mail and still does to this day. My mom was buried with a Padre Pio rosary I bought for her last year. This past July, something came in the mail from the foundation addressed to my mom. When I opened it, it was a Padre Pio Rosary. I felt like it was her trying to return the favor. I worry a lot about my mom's soul, she died in a state of grace but I feel it in my soul that she's not in Heaven yet and I pray, mostly the Rosary and Divine Mercy for her everyday. So today, the same day this video was uploaded, I got another letter from the foundation, addressed to my mom, but this time they send a medallion with a small poem on it as a reminder that we need to pray for our deceased loved ones. Mind you, they don't know my mom has passed away, hence the letter being addressed to her. I think he is following me too and my mom is urging me to accept the invitation....

What this man says about St. Padre Pio is completely true, members of my family and I have been blessed to have smelled the beautiful scent which came from a relic, a mitten/glove that St. Padre Pio had worn during his life, my brother and I was in very poor health early last year with cancer, we have now made a fantastic and recovery and feel great again going about our normal life and working, I fully believe that St. Padre Pio was the cause of our recovery. I have passed on information about St. Padre Pio other ill people and they all have received great comfort and many of those people have made recovery back to good health.

I was watching the Ed and Lorain channel months ago. They talked about how he would help them during exorcisms and i took an interest in him. Not soon after right when Covid started i made some spiritual changes and came under heavy demonic attack. I called on him for help and even though i have not “seen” him i know he has been there helping me. So i wanna give a shout out to Padre Pio!...Praise Jesus!
