As a lash tech, extensions don't ruin natural lahes when they're applied and maintained properly. I make sure to use hypoallergenic glues like from LLBA Professional to ensure my clients don't get irritated. Also, reminding them of the proper care is an important factor.

Agreed. I’ve had mine for a couple years now, and one thing that is a must for me is keeping my eyes clean. People get afraid to wash them but if you use an oil free cleanser, like I use one from Neutrogena, they should still hold up well. I don’t wear a lot of makeup but if I do, I make sure to remove the it completely first before washing my face. Sometimes facial cleansers don’t remove all the makeup and then you can end up with buildup. That’s just my 2 cents on what’s worked for me ❤

A lot of lash techs will say THEY DON’T ruin your lashes but I’ve had lash extensions for 6 months and yes they do disrupt the natural consistent growth, volume, and look of your natural lashes. My lashes are naturally long although I never had volume…after having lash extensions for a while my natural eyelashes grew back sparsely at different lengths and looks unattractive. Your natural lashes will grow back and possibly return to its natural form but it will take a long time, maybe 5+ months if you don’t go back to lash extensions.

The only reason they ruined mine (they were so long they touched my eyebrows easily) is bc I got it done and didn't have money next month so I didn't go again and I didn't get them off, they fell off on themselves and went away with my natural lashes. Which is totally my fault lol. There's literally no downside as long as you're responsible with it
