It's funny because Aniwave urged its followers to support the content creators and people who worked on their favorite anime in any way they could. Most people won't support legal streaming as you have to have multiple subscriptions to watch what you want. Even for a lot of shows, you can't watch them in their entirety without having multiple subscriptions. For instance, Pokemon is on 3+ streaming platforms and you cannot finish it on a single one.

That being said, there will always be piracy websites out there as long as there is a need. Also, this mass takedown was for more than just anime sites - it was for all popular media piracy websites.

This is only temporary setback. You can't remove piracy. They gonna come back with proxies

I felt a great disturbance in the world of piracy. As if 10 pirate anime sites where suddenly silenced.

Most people cant pay over $100 a month for the 15+ different subscriptions that you'd need to cover all the anime everyone wants to watch. If there was one place with a $20 subscription I'd happily support them. But I'm not going to drain my paycheck to do the right thing. There's bigger issues that need to be fixed the the market in general. Piracy is a result of poor legal alternatives.

The only reason i pirate them at this point is because of how annoying the streaming in general have become. You have to go to many websites just to browse all the available ones

they don't seem to realize why people go on these sites beyond free, it's because everything is on one site...we dont have to subscribe to 4-6 different streaming services to get just 30% of what these anime sites have, beyond that these site have older animes that are not on and will never be on any of these streaming sites.. honestly if they had a paid legal site that had every single anime that has ever come out on and with loyal translations i'd be willing to pay $20-25 a month for it.. these anime sites are just miles better than any streaming service out there... they are also preserving older anime that will be lost if completely wiped out

as gabe said "Piracy is a service problem"

There may be more piracy websites to come but none will be of the quality as these, may they always be remembered

Man I rather watch my anime before I get physically, I’m not saying that I’m one that makes those; but I did watch anime that I found interesting.

Because people keep dropping the website names

Mine is still around. Been using it for 11 years and still active. Im. Not sharing the name EVER

I’d rather pay the $30 per year to watch/pirate any anime or animated media ever than pay $75-$100 per month for the several mainstream streaming platforms

I think it's because all these sites had the leaked episodes of dandadan, re:zero and ranma, that's why action was taken against them
