Did you enjoy it? Do not forget to subscribe and hit the bell button so you won't miss our next video!

Why do we sleep under blankets, but not our ears? Discover the 'Perfect 10' series: nonstop noises and calming sounds ideal to sleep with. Sonic blankets for your ears... at last!

Depending on your sleeping habits, you may like to sleep in a silent or a noisy environment. The baseline has probably been set during your childhood.

If your sleeping room is too quiet, and you miss a certain level of noise, then you can artificially add one by playing one of our Perfect 10 videos, while sleeping.

A silent room can be also a place where you may be easily distracted by the slightest sounds around. Usually, you may not notice these quiet sounds, but if you do, and do find them annoying, then you will have a problem. It can be the noise of a distant neighbor’s television set, or your tinnitus. And as you get even more irritated, the situation can only get worse!

The solution is to find another noise that you enjoy better, and that is capable of making the nuisance noise disappear. You will then use this sound as a noise blocker − this video for example. Because the sound of this video sounds even, and doesn’t change over time, your brain will wipe it out from your conscious mind after a couple of minutes, sometimes even less. That’s right, you won’t hear it anymore.

Our brain excels at filtering out constant stimuli. Think about it; it doesn’t make sense for the brain to devote energy to processing an input that does not change, especially when it is time to shut down and sleep! So, faster than you could have imagined, you will enjoy sleeping in a very particular silence: a silence made by a sound that gets ignored by the brain, but still masks the original nuisance!

I am a sailor, the most present sound is the purring of the engine, the small vibrations that propagate in the hull. It's very nice.

Just imagine you're lying in bed in a big ship somewhere in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of nowhere. And you're in the middle of a great storm with the scary and dark never ending depth of the ocean right beneath you, but yet you're all protected and safe from that. Do this while lying in bed.
Perfect for falling asleep.

I was a sea scout, mixed junior girl troops/boy troops, learning to master the wind & glide the waves from early on in life with your best mates was truly a blessing & a big adventure, we slept in the small sailboats & sometimes we went ashore to make a camp & sang songs & told stories around the campfire & star gazing, i learnt so much about camraderie & maintaining good spirits in every weather & setbacks, it was truly a lifetime experience trying to solve your way out of stuff if things didnt go according to what one had in mind, and we built a lot of our stuff too just with wood & rope. We improvised as we went along.
Sign up your kids!! :D

This helps me a lot with my writing. I;m writing about a cruise, and at one part my ship is travelling within rainy cloudy, cold weather.
These sounds make me feel that I'm actually on board! Thank you.

The deep ships engine sound I remember since infancy, with time as a child on oil tankers with my father, a Norwegian officer, and mother and brother.

I miss the sea so much. The rougher the storm the better I slept. Nothing else like it. 😢

I always imagine I'm on a family holiday cruise with my wife and kids. Just tucking the kids into bed and telling them all the activities that we can do tomorrow
