I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

I want to thank whoever created this sound, I'm going through a very difficult time where it includes anxiety, depression, panic attacks and with all of that comes a lack of sleep due to excessive thoughts and EVERY day I put this sound next to mine bed, in the repetition, I listen to it every day at night, without fail, my favourite time is when it's cold so I can crawl into the warm blankets and listen (in case I sleep more than 8 hours…..this sound make me sleep a lot) and I sleep very very fast and happy because I visualize myself in a comfortable moment with the person that I love, enjoying the fireplace and listening to the rain and it just makes me want to keep me alive for this to happen, this sound has been my salvation, thank you so much, I have no words to express me how grateful I’m 👋😍

This reminds me of my childhood when my family and I went to southwest rocks in Australia, we were at a bay as it started storming quite suddenly. Though we had to hurry home, I could hear the crashing waves from our little cabin. I fell asleep very easily that night under my warm blankets with a lit candle beside me, and the beautiful sounds of the rain and the waves. Thumbs up.

Listing rain sound during sleep (& other relaxing music based on mood) has become my habit since lockdown. I found a few of these sounds match the actual nature. But last night I got a fever & just felt all of these tracks noisy, irritating to hear. 😐
