Fun fact: these little dots are actually morse code that the device decodes into letters which are in code, this code will correspond to video/game

For people who dont know why all those dots are there, it is the way optical storage represents 0s and 1s, the white parts, the lands, represent 1s because when a laser is shined on it, it reflects back most of the light to a detector and is therefore detected reading as a 1. the black parts, the pits, represent 0s because when a laser is shined on it the light is scattered and the detector does not detect enough light to read as a 1.

They’re a mixture of reflections bumps and non reflective bumps on a cd. A non feflective area represents 0. Where as a reflective area represents 1. They are pulses that a computer reads to process the disc.
