Thanks, the first fix did the trick! I just installed the latest big Android update and was pretty annoyed that it broke my phone. It would be really nice if they actually spent some time testing this shit before forcing it on our phones and breaking them.

Dude, I have to echo the thanks that everyone is giving you! Happened to my son's phone and was trying each step by step. Got to the part where I'm smacking it on my hand He was playing his video game and stops and looks at me and asks why I'm smacking his phone. No later than 20 seconds later, we hear the start up jingle and I looked at him and go "It worked!!!" he was soooo happy!!!
