If you're ready to upgrade your podcasting mic, I highly recommend considering the Electro Voice RE20 broadcasting microphone. It sounds crisp and clear. And I just love how professional it makes my space sound despite not sound proofing my office.

So great!!! I have the RE20 myself and love it. I made a video myself promoting the mic, I have to admit you did a much better job. Bravo!!

It's actually pretty cool to see you a female reviewing a top quality microphone and it is good to hear the difference between a guy's voice. On this mic and a girl

Your voice is pretty velvety and the mic carries it very well👍

That is awesome sound quality for all those issues. I have a lot of background noise too.

ElectroVoice RE20 is a great microphone. Where is your microphone cable? You need headphones I use Koss PRO4AAT Titanium Over Ear Headphone they are great real high impedance headphones. I have two audio interfaces a Creative K3+ and a SoundBlaster SB1240. The Creative K3+ and two ElectroVoice RE-27 N/D microphones, Auray mic boom, and fine wire mesh wind screens with a gaming laptop I use for remote podcasting. At home podcasting I use a Mackie 16 channel audio mixer, SoundBlaster SB1240 audio interface, 16 RE-27 N/D microphones, 16 DBX 286s microphone preamplifiers, and a gaming laptop. The RE-20 is still a great microphone and it can withstand extremely high sound pressure levels, but the RE-27 N/D with its Neodymium Iron Boron magnets has a higher output and broader frequency response than the ElectroVoice RE-20. Keep in mind when your ElectroVoice RE-20 microphone is not in use please store it a Ziplock plastic bag that is airtight. The foam internal windscreen will oxidize over time when left out in the open and after five years you will have to re-foam the internal windscreen. If wait until its too late its pain in the ass to repair. I first heard the ElectroVoice RE-20 microphone it sounded great at the radio station I was doing repairs on radio station equipment. I was working at a cable TV station that started making commercials and they needed a good sounding top end microphone so I choose the ElectroVoice RE-27 N/D microphone because it had a higher output and broader frequency response than the RE-20. The cable station laid me off, so I stole the microphone from the cable station and few other things. The statues of limitation are up now so I cannot be charge with a crime. But someone else stole my original RE-27 N/D microphone. But that’s life. If someone goes near my place. I always have 12 cameras watching them with a 24/7 warning on my cellphone. If they cut the power or phone and cable line that is okay, it still works for nine hours without power.

RODE PSA1 boom arm holds this mic no problem 👍

Do you realize you're speaking into the mic off-axis, I know you want to show your pretty face however the mic should be higher and almost parallel to your mouth. RE20 is extremely directional so keep this in mind.
