I LOVE music theory. It is my understanding that with 4 types of Triads and 3 types of 7ths we could have as many as 12 7th Chords. But because the distance between notes has to be at least 3 half steps we only have 7 7th Chords. Major, Dominant, Minor, Half Diminished, Full Diminished, Minor Major, and Augmented Major. Correct?

Dim + min = half diminished; what about dim + maj? Is there such a thing?
