Lyrics:
You said you use chocolate
When you and him take off all your clothes
Why the fuck you tell me that?
Can't drink that image out of my head

Like a fish
That's how I drink these days
It numbs the envy I have
Against your tall, kind man
He's so much taller than I ever will be

You write me in a stranger's tone
And bring him along to my shows
Well, you need etiquette lessons
And I need something in my drink

Like a fish
That's how I drink these days
It numbs the envy I have
Against your tall kind man
He's so much taller than I ever will be

I dream about you four nights a week
Call me romantic
I wish that I could fill his shoes
But I'm only a 7

Like a fish
Pour me a Guinness man
She's probably screwing him now
Can make all the wisecracks in the world
But I will never be what she wants

He was always meant to be a Musician. Apart from having a very special voice, he has such a good taste in music. I used to go to school with him in the past and he has always been so talented. Can't wait and international tour!!!

It really frustrates me when there are so many gems that don’t get the recognition they deserve. This song –along with many others Matt has written – has creative meaning and melodies

I love this song. It has such a lovely way of creating a character that is filled with jealousy and bitterness. I also like how he compares himself to the other man in such a shallow way that you can see that he doesn't truly love the woman; he just misses the fact she was his. Now that she's got a new man, he drinks and watches with contempt of a man who's taller than him. At least, that's how I interpret it.

Wow this music is incredibly underrated, I feel bad for the people who haven’t found him yet

Matt maltese is too early or too late for this generation.

this is genuinely one of my favorite songs of all time. the way he sings this character as this jealous man and is “smaller” and more shallow than the other man comparing himself to a fish, the music, the lyrics, everything. i always have my music on shuffle and i’ve never had a song make me this excited when it pops up

love this song! it feels so humorous but also genuine in the bitterness and jealousy the singer feels. couldn't help but snort at the "why the fuck you tell me that" it's so funny, the exasperation-

This album, and this song, are in my opinion some of Matt Maltese's best works. The lyrical genius in this song paints such a vivid picture. The double entendre of "I wish that I could fill shoes, but I'm only a seven." is one of my favorite lines, and followed by the jump in pitch for the "pour me a Guinness, she's probably screwing him now" part. It's addicting, and this song is the one I always come back to 3 years later.

There’s so many memories of mine attached to this song. Dark ones, but beautiful ones too.

mesmerizing and funny. Has anyone done that so well with music lately, or ever? My daughter told me this song was in her head for a week, and I'm so glad she told me!
