I'm a writer (not published or anything. I just write as a little side hobby) and the pure emotion in this is exhilarating. I can imagine my protagonist, surrounded by his closest allies and dearest friends, rushing for cover and trying their very best to protect each other as the world, quite literally, caves in around them. I see him sobbing, knowing death is only seconds away as debris from buildings and chunks of earth fall atop them. Waiting for the peaceful release of death, just wanting to be in the arms of his best friend, who'd died two years prior.

Just a little idea i came up with...

It's spring break, and an emergency broadcast shows on the tv announcing a meteor is coming quickly towards earth and that it'll end any living being on the planet, no matter what anyone did you wouldn't survive. Your family starts to panic, quickly calling relatives to say "goodbye's", and "i love you's" while you run out your back door, up to a small hill. You and your best friends secret spot. Once you immediately get there, your friend is also there, in the same state you are. Panting, out of breath, adrenaline rushing through your veins. You both know this'll be the last time you see each other. You both run to the other, giving the other a hug, and lay on the soft grass. You both know you should probably be with your family, and spending your last moments with them. But it makes you both happy that both if your first thoughts were to run here.Your friend points out the large object forming in the sky, , getting closer and closer by the second. You both tell stories about the best moments with the other, and how your extremely grateful you both met in this life. Your not scared or worried. Your the opposite. Your happy, that your last moments on this strange planet. Are spent with them.

Whenever i listen to this song (only the original, not the female cover) when he starts saying "as the earth runs through the ground"
and it keeps going my feelings build up inside and when he says "oh girl its youu that i lie with" I feel this certain way i cant explain and i sometimes feel like crying its so hard to listen to this without that feeling. thats why i love this song :)
