FAW - Volkswagen's new Magotan was officially introduced at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The new car was designed by Volkswagen's current exterior design director and legendary designer, Marco Pavone, and will be equipped with DJI's newly released intelligent driving system.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new family style design style. The narrow-strip front grille connects to the headlight clusters on both sides and is equipped with a transitional chrome plating strip in the middle. The front of the car looks wider and more majestic. The Volkswagen brand LOGO in the middle can be illuminated, and there are piercing light strips on both sides, which greatly enhances the sense of technology. The lower part of the front of the car is equipped with chrome trim strips and air guide shapes to further enhance the sporty feel.

The new car has a waistline on the body side that extends from the front wheel arches to the taillights. Combined with the new style of two-tone, large-sized wheels, the overall appearance is full of sportiness. At the rear, the car's taillights are used, and the Volkswagen LOGO can also be illuminated. Together with the red reflective strips below, it greatly enhances the sense of hierarchy behind the car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4990/1854/1487 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2871 mm.

In terms of interior, the new car has changed a lot. It is equipped with a full LCD instrumentation, a large central control screen and a co-pilot entertainment screen. The new car adopts the pocket design, which leaves a larger storage space at the bottom of the center console. Additionally, the new car will be significantly improved in terms of intelligence and will be equipped with DJI's newly released smart driving solution.

In terms of power, the new Magotan is equipped with two power systems, the 1.5T four-cylinder engine model D5V with a maximum power of 160 horsepower (118kW) and the 2.0T engine model EA888 -DTJ with maximum power; With 220 horsepower (162kW), 350 N·m peak torque, the transmission system is mated to a 7-speed wet dual clutch transmission.
