My issue was originally that an iCloud sync extension was overwriting my bookmarks. I got that turned off and everything reorganized, but when I logged into my husband’s computer last night to print something, it rewrote all my bookmarks to the previous mess. Chrome syncing is the problem, but all the help articles say to sync to resolve. I tried this workaround with no luck. I’m devastated because I had a ton of in progress projects in tab groupings saved to bookmarks.

My issue was that Google Sync got turned off in an update. Turning it back on corrected the problem.
