It's not about Disney Characters, in 1986 Pixar was funded by Steve Jobs , in that way it's more about Pixar Characters. Incidentally, when Disney bought Pixar it made Steve Jobs the largest single shareholder at the time.

Some people?!?!?

I bought the AW3 with cellular last week. I LOVE IT! I sold my AW1 last year as I hated having to charge it every day and I went back to my old reliable Pebble. But with iOS 11 the Pebble app (that of course is no longer maintained) is getting more flakey and always loses connection. I backed ZeTime on Kickstarter. Beautiful smart watch, great concept, but now that it’s been delivered, the OS is simply appalling. So now after having the AW3 for a week, I can see why you love it. It’s super fast and even with cell use I get 2 days charge easy, or 3 days with no cell use. It’s summer here in Australia and I was at the beach on Friday night. I left my phone at home and could still be connected with the world and didn’t suffer ‘disconnection anxiety’ at all knowing that I can still receive messages and calls even though I was up to my chest in salt water!

The best app besides THINGS is "Grocery". It's just soooo convenient and the fastest app on my watch. You can dictate things to your shopping list by saying "hey siri, add bananas to my shopping list." And it works EVERY SINGLE TIME. Best app ever.

Thanks for doing a review on the Apple Series 3 with no LTE. I don't like that red dot and I don't think it's worth paying $10/month for a feature I'll probably use once or twice. I always have my phone nearby. Great review!

i have the i watch 3 with LTE and the red dot isn’t too noticeable, but i don’t get why apple didn’t make it white or black or grey

Of course it’s a matter of personal opinion, but I find it hysterical that a red dot would prevent someone from buying the LTE version. Who can even see the red dot? I think no one. I just purchased my first Apple Watch and bought the LTE version because my primary use is fitness tracking and outdoor activities without my phone. I’ve got 13 more days to convince myself I did the right thing. We’ll see.

I hate online reviews. Most people aren’t made for public speaking. With that said.... I really loved this bro. You did awesome. I’m a new series 3 user. I found this informative. Personally I dig AutoSleep. Also Minimalist and just press record for notes and reminders. Momentum is also great for todos as it has location reminders. Thanks for this. Be easy brother

I would love to see third party custom watch faces that could be easily purchased on App Store

Great video! I also purchased the Series 3 (non-cellular) in Space Gray as an upgrade for my original Apple Watch, for the exact same reason as you; I'm always taking photos so my phone is with me most of the time. If i'm outside in the yard or washing the car I leave my phone in the house, but still get notifications via wi-fi. Same thing if i'm walking around my office building at work. Leave my phone in the desk, wifi keeps me connected. The speed difference between the two is huge! That was worth the upgrade alone! Funny, i plan to use my original Apple Watch for sleep tracking too! Keep up the great videos!

I’ve been wanting an Apple Watch since they first launched, and I think series 3 is finally my time, I have my phone on me at all time no matter what for photos, but I also can’t just be pulling out my phone every second of the day to check in on my kids.
Definitely gonna head into an Apple store and get as much information as I can

I just got the series 3 as my first Apple Watch as I never buy the first of anything as I give Apple time to iron out bugs. So when I saw the series 4 come out I got the three for a tad over 200 smackers. I love it and I’m glad I waited.

Less than a week ago, I got the aluminium Apple Watch series 3 (cellular) with seashell sport loop.

I choose the cellular model because I want the option of not taking my phone with me, such as in summer if I go out for a long walk I might not really want to take my phone or have any pockets, but still want to be able to make a call if I need to, especially in an emergency.
I didn't think I would like the red dot but actually, I don't really mind it. But if you really hate it just get something like one of the WatchDots.

I choice the Sport Loop band because I've tried the normal Sport Band and I find its way of fastening a pain.

I have really found using Apple Pay on it very handy. I thought it would be just a bit of a gimmick. But it is honestly very handy, I use it a lot already.
It even is good to use getting on a bus, because you don't need to get your wallet and card out and then as the bus is moving away struggle to get your card back into your wallet and that back into your breast pocket. As the bus is stopping just double tap the side button and as you get on and pass by the card scanner just put your wrist near the scanner as you walk by, you don't even need to close Apple Pay, it closes itself.

Its health and fitness tools give you almost everything you can think of, including your VO2max

I got an Apple Watch to replace my FitBit and am super satisfied with it.

I have really bad time management issues and I never miss a thing. ⌚️

Totally with you on the red dot. So I went for the same model as you. Main reason for me is swimming. Nothing so far in the market that made me buy a gadget for tracking run, cycle and swim. So now the the Series 3... I took the plunge. Sold my Tissot Touch Solar. Yeah just read this again: S O L A R. Not just a name, the face is a panel and you never need a battery ever. Never. Also has a compass that actually works but that is a side note. Back to the Series 3. 2 weeks in. I can finally just press the start button and start swimming. The watch knows my style, sets and splits. And strokes. WOW. Hart Rate... well sometimes. And so far the experience was much better then I expected. Until this morning. I know I did 1500m, but the watch tells me I did 1000m. Grrr. Let's say this is a fluke. I will see how it performs over the coming weeks. Battery: Well looking back at the Tissot I would have to cry all day. Then again I get all these rewarding messages. Oh one more thing: Apple! This is a watch yes? When looking at it I would like to see the time. I am loosing count how many times a day I need to flick my wrist back and forth to actually switch on the screen. Not happy on that part.

I have insomnia and for me the sleep tracking (including sleep states, i.e. light, deep or R.E.M. sleep) is joint in importance with step tracking and fitness data. I currently use a Fitbit Alta HR to track all of this, but I sometimes have to wear a proper watch as well which I find super annoying. I use it as a silent alarm in the morning, which is super nice not to have to deal with a phone anymore. I get notifications for calendar events, calls and texts (but not WhatsApp which is super annoying) as well as reminders to move. The Fitbit app is really good as well for tracking all your health data. I also only need to charge it once a week, however it’s not waterproof so I usually charge it when I’m in the shower and that keeps it going really well.

I basically always have my phone on me unless I’ve left it on my desk or somewhere in the house so I would be getting a non LTE version. I really like the idea of being able to respond to messages, see more info and use timers and things. The waterproofing also really appeals to me. I’m not sure about the battery life though.

My questions are:

1) Can it do what I need it to do with regards to sleep tracking?

2) Is it worth spending the money for my use case considering I would be effectively hindering myself with a weird charging schedule?

Sleep ++ is an awesome sleep tracker and you can enable automatic tracking and morning sleep reports.

I agree on the red dot why couldn’t they just made it the color of the watches

Try the pillow app for sleep tracking it’s pretty good it uses both your phone and watch to track motion sound and heartbeat while you sleep. It also only goes through about 10% battery overnight. I charge my series 1 about an hour before bed then it’s good all night and all day. But I don’t always get an hour before I go to sleep but it’s pretty good with just your phone as well just no heartbeat and less accurate motion tracking.
