I was the in first batch of Marines to be trained to shoot aircraft since the end of the Korean War. It was 1982. RC guy got a contract and we sucked at it. 50000 rounds ant two hits. We were firing 10 round ground combat bursts.

Then one of the guys was at a bar and the owner was a Korean War Marine and had a copy of the FM. We got it and reprinted it.

All tracer and hundred round bursts. Guy came back with 13 RC aircraft and we smoked them all.

The zipper suited sungods, fighter pilots, watching were silent. Do you have any idea how hard it is to shut up a Marine that is also a naval aviator?

id be worried about using water cooled machineguns in subzero temps, but then again, i imagine once it starts firing any frozen liquid inside wont be frozen for long.
maybe some antifreeze or corn-alcohol in the resevoir to keep it from getting slushie?
