this thing is making duramax power we dyno'd my uncles duramax a cuople of days behind and it made 496hp and 785 ft.lbs.torque

I thought he had a cam as well, I think its the turbo spooling to the max and leveling off early. Making max boost sooner then bigger single turbo so max power comes on quicker.

I think the key is you need better turbos. Twin 52mm turbos from say borg warner would make a heck of a lot more power then that.

If I had to pick some twins for that setup I would say either 5858's or 6266's depending on how much power you wanted and how much lag.

Would a different cam give you any gains and where's the dyno graph? I think you said you got a tick/trick performance cam in there but 3000rpm peak torque and 5000rpm peak hp seems very low. The peak hp should be around 6000-6500rpm and redline I assume is limited to 6500rpm sadly for the automatics.

For one, it's making nothing but low end power. They're choking the engine and making high RPM useless.

I had lots of issues with low mount turbos before too, after making it a higher front mount set up I never looked back at low mount stuff. and go with a S480 its worth the extra bucks.

The 80 on there might even be too small, the motor is bigger than the fairmont so it will want more turbo. Just some food for thought.
