in Bangladesh is called a shingara, and it's often smaller than the Indian version. Shingaras are made from pastry dough and fried in hot oil, and they're usually filled with spiced potatoes, peas, or minced meat. In some parts of Bangladesh, shingaras filled with beef liver, called kolija singara, are very popular.

During my childhood in Malaysia, I always find samosas in Indian street food hawkers.

The potato ones are so delicious.

Instructions unclear.. I periodically added bromine from the periodic table and my samosa is now radioactive.

To all of you haters in the comments talking about how he is trying to anger us Indians, he most certainly isn't and we Indians/Hindus don't care about how he makes samosa. Animosity only exists between our governments. Let's not bring this into everything

Samosas were my childhood breakfast. I would wake up everyday to a very tasty and great smell of a Samosa being cooked by my mother before I go to school.

Origin of samosa is not indian. It is originally created by middle eastern known as "sambosa"
Though when it arrived in India (traditionally nonveg dish) it took this triangle shape in hyderabad known as "lukhmi". This was tiny samosas filled with lamb.

More popular samosas, filled with potato, are invented much later when Portuguese brought potato in late 18th century.

Samosa goes back to 10th century, India didn't have potato then so it is impossible that samosa is originally indian.
