Installing Tamiya Buggy Light Pod Set onto our Grasshopper | CompetitionX

We've had our Tamiya Grasshopper for some time now and have been wanting to replace the stock (non-functional) light pods with a working set with LEDs. We had initially thought we'd just drill them out and cobble up some sort of light setup, but then I got wind that Tamiya was coming out with their Buggy Light Pod Set.

In this video, we show you how to install the front light pods on your Grasshopper (this will work with other vehicles as well - like the Hornet or Frog). We wanted red rear lights as well so we came up with a cool solution for that using only the parts that come in the Buggy Light Pod kit!

Just a note - this set will work with any vehicle you own, however it might require a little ingenuity to actually mount them. Also, this kit does not include the LEDs or controller, but I will put a link down below if you are interested in using the same setup I did.

Enjoy the video.

They should make a special edition for the hornet and the grasshopper that come with the light set.

Are the lights always on…or can you turn them on and off?

Tony it'd be nice to see you again on Frank's live chat this Thursday I do like it in silver I wish they'd make a silver edition of that and I like those rims where'd you get those rims and I assume these lights would also work well on the hornet.
