THERE IS NEVER A TIME WHERE YOU WANT TO COME ACROSS ACCIDENTS BUT THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN BEING BEHIND THE WHEEL AND WITNESSING WRECKS LIKE THIS TRUCK CRASH RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. CAPTURED FROM MY GARMIN WEBCAMTHE TRUCK HIT WAS DRIVEN BY A TEAM BOTH WERE SHAKEN BADLY AT THE SCENE BUT OKAY. THE DRIVER THAT THEM WAS PENNED BETWEEN DASH AND FEET BUT MOVING AROUND AND COHERENT. AS YOU CAN SEE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO THE DRIVER WAS TEXTING, DROWSEY, OR NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND WAS SWERVING OVER THE DOTTED LINE MULTIPLE TIMES. THIS HAPPENS ALL TOO OFTEN AND DRIVERS NEED TO START PAYING MORE ATTENTION.

camera driver was true professional, recognized shoulder hazard and moved over before. Also aware that he was impeding passing lane when other truck sped up and merged back to follow. Well Done Sir!!!

Nothing worse than truck races, where they drive side by side for miles. Just when one is ready to pass, then the one in the right lane speeds up.

Hard to determine if the park truck had moved into the travel lane but this was completely avoidable. The cam driver took a defensive position and avoided the crash. There's the difference right there and the result of maintaining a professional attitude on the highway.

Isn't that just like a selfish driver who is so busy making sure you don't pass him or her that they can't keep their eyes out of the mirror long enough to avoid creating a catastrophe! I can't count the number of times I've pulled into the left lane and be almost next to the driver that suddenly finds the accelerator. It's not a race and I'm not impressed if I had to get in the left lane in the first place. Just makes you a bad driver.

I’m from the Scottish highlands - I can’t get over how well maintained and straight that road is! I live where we don’t even have enough room for two cars on the road!

Notice this driver move over immediately after seeing the risk on the shoulder and avoiding being involved as well. Great job!!. Looked like the dam driver was just popping out from the shoulder as we see many freaking times!!

I went thru WY on 80 twice around Christmas in my 4Runner, both times during big winds. One trip the gusts were reported to be 70mph. Damned near every rig parked for safety. The wind was blowing across the road, not with it. The thing that left an impression on me as someone studying for my CDL, was how abrupt the change was when you'd pass a vehicle on the side of the road, or go under an overpass or any hill that blocked the wind for a second. It felt like my 4Runner was being sucked towards the shoulder to the point it was scary. You're steering into the wind, pass something that blocks the wind, now your steering into the wind becomes steering out of your lane, then the spot ends, the wind hits again, and you get blown back over while you readjust your steering to re-compensate for the wind. The transitions were near instant. I can't imagine how that affect is multiplied in a big truck, but I can imagine that this guy thought he would clear the stopped truck, only to get 'sucked in' by the freaky wind. All the more reason to move over or slow down.

I hope everybody's alright. That was a big one.

Don't you just love those professional drivers that come off the shoulder without speeding up without looking behind them.

Shouldn't have sped up to keep other driver from passing. Had he stayed at lower speed, could've been avoided.

Hunt driver was so intent to stay in front of the cammer that he was not paying attention and did not see the parked truck.

Some people have bad car driving habits... and It transferred over for when they drive a truck... they become a hazardous truck driver!

Scary part is companies are so desperate for drivers they take inexperienced drivers and out on the road they go.

I knew that J.B. Hunt was up to no good when he awoke from his stupor & began speeding up. Our driver ( camera truck ) spotted trouble ahead & changed lanes while J.B. Plowed straight into

Every 18 wheeler I come across on the interstate highway always move over when there's a vehicle on the shoulder

The JB Hunt truck was all over the road. He almost went over the line several times. As the car was passing him, he drifted towards it. Then he started drifting right towards the shoulder and at the last second realized it, hit the brakes, but it was too late and hit the truck on the shoulder. I’m guessing he was messing around with something, like his phone, or he was tired and dozing off.

One of the best things about this was the radio commentary, and that as from 2021 - truth. It is worse now.

This clip should be shown in every truck driving class as a perfect example of why you move over if there is a vehicle (esp. a truck) on the shoulder!
