We, my sister and I in our 50's, stayed in Corniglia for 5 day. I only wished I stayed longer. The town empties after 5 pm, like you said and the locals come out and sit around the small village. The trails at 7 am are empty. We did a vineyard tour offered tour through our Airbnb host. We went to market in La Spezia. We rode the train from La Spezia to Lavanto and got off in every town to check them all out. It's such a beautiful area, and the food. OMG, so good. I will go back again one day.

Thank you for these tips! Some of them I really didn't think of before. I've always been a bit confused about these umbrellas in Italy and Greece 🧐 so it's nice to know we should go early and reserve for the whole day. Amazing that we can even leave and come back...! Thanks! 😊

Thanks for the tips. We are staying in Corniglia because it is supposedly "quieter". I was thinking of avoiding the beach at Monterosso, but you just changed my mind.
