"sysctl" is a tool for examining and changing kernel parameters at runtime. sysctl is implemented in procfs, the virtual process file system at /proc/.

Commands used -
sysctl -a (to view all loaded parameters)
/proc/sys (to temporarily change kernel parameters)

Another way to change parameters temporarily instead of manually writing on the /proc, is using the sysctl too.
sysctl var=value

The value which already was "0", you copy that parameter and set value as "1" without commenting that Zero parameter value, in thae case how would it identify which parameter it should take?
