Video showing the larva of the parasitoid wasp Cotesia urabae cutting its way out of its host Uraba lugens. After emergence the wasp larva spins its cocoon alongside the caterpillar which may stay alive there up to a week. The whole process took around 3 hrs.

This video got the 3rd Place Prize on the Nikon's 'Small World in Motion' video competition 2015.

I once raised inachis io cattetpilars, a few days when they turned into a pupae a bug come from inside, turned into an egg and a few days a fly came from the egg.
