The day is divided energetically into six 4-hour periods- that carry certain modes--particularly Goodness--the mode of peacefulness and spiritual mindfulness; the mode of Passion, which is restlessness and forcefulness, or action;; and thirdly, the mode of Ignorance which mode increases a lazy or less careful state of being (good for. eating, restiing, , hearing, reading.). These begin with the mode of Passion at 10PM-2AM; good for working, organizing, action. Then Goodness from 2AM - 6AM, good for meditation, writing, chanting, et cetera;; Then from 6AM -10AM--good for eating, hearing (news, scripture). Then repeating from 10AM-2AM et cetera. It is therefore difficult to begin one's sleep after 10PM. which begins the mode of Passion. If sleep is begun before that time then it can remain intact through that time, but if waking during that time it will again be hard to fall asleep again...Just contributing...
