So glad you did this review Thank you! I just bought one and was surprised at the sound of the blade stopping I thought it was screeching because I assembled it wrong. Sounds like it's just the brake stopping the saw quickly, as I can hear it in your video too. 🙏

I just got mine a few days ago im really impressed too!! The 4.0 battery does a really nice job at lasting on these!!!

Can you retract the blade guard so the blade is always exposed?

I need a circular saw and have been looking at this one, the bosch and the einhell track saw. I think im gonna go for the skil, itll be great to be able to do rip cuts with a power tool, takes ages by hand

I have the 12v 5 1/2 one, 78$ with drill charger and 4ah battery on amazon, doing great around the house. this new skil line is great for the price.

What are your thoughts on the plastic guards? Does it seem rather light duty and cant be thrown around in a truck or on site? How does it compare to metal guard circ saws?

I have the same Saw and a 4 or 5 amp. works better so if you get another tool deal which has a 4 or 5 amp. battery swap it and see the difference.

A local mom and pop store has this same saw in the box for 20 bucks! Only thing is it doesn't come with a battery! I know that's hard to believe but it's true. They have 2 I'm thinking about getting them both and reselling.
