Nice tool excellent value. If you run a 5 amp or more battery the saw will cut faster. Excellent product I wish it was available 2 years ago when I bought mine.

If had a dollar for Everytime some asked me if I had a "SKIL saw" they could barrow.? I would have to clarify with them what they needed to use, but were too cheap or broke to be able to buy their own... Anyways, somewhere along the way, average people began referring to every circular saw as a "SKIL Saw." At least in my neck of the woods.

Despite what some say, in 2023 I think every new circular saw should track ready. Traditional track saws have their raison d'être, but if you’re just a weekend warrior looking to rip some sheet goods with a basic track saw then you shouldn’t have to buy an expensive purpose built track saw or mess around with non OE track saw conversion kits. I think Skil made a wise decision with this saw being ready to work with their tracks right out of the box. But then again, what do I know? One last question, it seems like you’re always hesitant to publicly state that Chervon, the makers of Ego and Flex, also make Skil. Is there a reason for this? Thanks for the awesome video!

Does anyone have any long term results from the batteries on these new Skil 20 volt tools? My old Ryobi tools came brand new with failing batteries. My Milwaukee drill is still running the same lithium ion battery that I purchased in 2009. I am really wondering if Skil used disposable "budget" batteries, or if they are using high quality lithium ion batteries with a long service life? If the batteries last 5 years, then these tools are an extreme bargain. Milwaukee batteries last at least 10 years.

After Your Demo, I'd say this thing is huge bargain. For same money, or less, you get stronger more capable tool than the RYOBI track saw, and while the track is proprietary, then so is RYOBI's and know body likes it that's tried anything else.
Anyways, I just watched This video because I couldn't find a video on the SKIL 6 1/2" circular saw, which is the one I want, and I'm probably gonna buy, and do my own opening, and review myself, since no one seems to have a video out on it.

That is no tracksaw. It is just a circular saw. It can’t plunge cut, no knife it is just a circ saw that fits a track. Being able to plunge is one of the best features for a real track saw. There are TONS of real track saws. This has no reason to exist. Tons of conversion kits for circ saws already.
