Ibn Mas’ud (r.a) reported:
The Prophet ﷺ said,

❝Verily, Allah تَعَالَى made the world for a short time, and what remains is but the shortest of it. The parable of what remains is like the pure mountaintop water already drank while what is leftover is its murkiness.❞ (Sahih)
