Using the Panasonic Lumix GH4 in 2022 - part 1

The Panasonic Lumix GH4 was one of the first mirrorless cameras to feature 4k film recording capabilities. It offered exquisite build quality, a vast array of features never before seen in its class.
It was the top tier Micro Four Thirds choice back in 2014 when it came to filming, as it opened up a vast expanse of possibilities to the independent film maker or the odd youtuber.
But it does have some drawbacks as well, of which I will talk about in this two part review. I got my Lumix GH4 in 2019. After a few years of occasional usage I feel confident enough to present it, give my insight on the GH4, and hopefully help some of you out there looking into one of these cameras.

So I’ve been shooting on a GH4 for about 1 year now and I’ve just come across something. If you shoot video in the manual setting with the M and a camera symbol next to it (on the selection wheel) the footage is dark. If you shoot on the M setting (just the M on the selection wheel) the footage is waaaay brighter! Can someone explain why to me? Try it and let me know if same happens

I use my GH4 for photography because it is a very capable camera. I use the 30mm marco lens most of time on a tripod. The Leica 12-60mm is not worth the price I do not really like the performance of the lens. The 12-35mm X Lens is a much better lens with 2.8 constance aperture though the entire focal range and is what I use on GH5. The GH4 is very good for photography.

700 euro's... could have picked up a used GH5 with that budget.
