The Panasonic GH4, designed for both professional photo and video use. Featuring a 16.05-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor and a quad core CPU Venus Engine image processor.
Record video in UHD 4K 3840x2160 & cinematic 4K 4096x2160.
The GH4 features a weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, built-in Wi-Fi & NFC technology, a high-speed 49-point autofocus in both photo and video mode.

The GH4 delivers video quality surpassing many professional video cameras. Video can be recorded in a variety of formats, from efficient AVCHD and AVCHD Progressive, to 200 Mbps All-Intra and 100 Mbps IPB MOV and MP4 formats. And because the GH4 is a global camera, the system frequency can be switched between 59.94 Hz (23.98 Hz) and 50 Hz, yielding a variety of recording options including 23.98p, 25p, 29.97p, 50p, and 59.94p. The system can also be switched to 24 Hz to capture true 24p in HD and 4K resolutions".

7:23 of course you have to get a shot of a spider while shooting in Australia... That shot was so gorgeous it was terrifying. Great video.

The only thing that could make the GH4 better today, is if they put the GH4 in the C100. Dual card recording. XLR. Video ergonomics. If they make it twice the price and remove the stills features still I'd buy it.

If I had the money for it right now, I'd pick one up too! I do think Panasonic withheld the ibis, just so people would pick up their X series lenses with OIS (12-35 and 35-100 2.8s). Otherwise the Olympus 12-40 and 40-150 might just be the better lens option on this incredible camera.

nice!! do you usually shoot GH$ through AFC settings or manual focus? i find it to be less shaky and better quality on AFC

Sandisk Extreme pro 95 mb works like a charm! It's right!
I have the Gh4 now for a week and NO regrets about my Canon 5D switch. So the GH4 is incredible fast and does accurate autofocus. It's really a fantastic camera

Even if just to see more gorgeous video even in insanely low light, when both cameras come to market, a head to head between the GH4 and the a7s would be sweet!

Great review. I've been doing lots of research on this model and many others. This looks to be the one I'll probably use to get on the ground running.

How well did it perform for you with other glass attched (canon, nikon, etc.)?

I've read that using third-party glass makes it manual only and when trying to mark focus points on the lenses for rack focus, that the points aren't the same when returning to them. Is this true?

Thanks for the review, it covers almost everything I wanted to know. I am an amateur videographer myself, I have a canon 550D and a couple of lenses. One of the things I dislike about my camera is the fact that it can only record files up to 4GB. Do you happen to know if the same thing happens with this camera? I hate it when it stops recording. The only option I have is to have magic lantern installed and reduce the bitrate.
