Why you don't need to rake the leaves in your yard this fall

I've always mowed over the leaves with the lawnmower because I usually have grass I still need to cut before the snow comes.

My neighbor on one side of me was trying to blow and bag up leaves as soon as they just began to fall. She's the type to lose sleep over grass clippings, leaves etc.

My neighbor on the other side of me said that him and his wife got an estimate from someone that charged $200 to clean up a small yard full of leaves, so they plan to just let them blow away. I know that should drive my other neighbor nuts, and that's a good thing. 😃

Pollinators use leaves for shelter during hibernation. In late spring, I put them in compost.
Sadly, many people make raking leaves and mowing lawns a hobby or lifestyle because they have no other hobbies.
I hate wearing jeans. I am wearing sweatpants all next year.

Leaves are amazing and a good source of nitrogen and healthy. But i always mulch them with my lawnmower to get the Best benefits
